On an isolated South Sea island, an alcoholic beachcomber washes up on shore, and the invalid nephew of the local missionary also arrives from New England. Both men fall in love with the vivacious White Almond Flower: a grass-skirted Island girl who refuses the modest muumuu she is encouraged to wear. The men are enraptured as they watch her perform native dances in front of her pagan tiki idol. All are put in danger when a vicious slave trader arrives with a tribe of cannibal headhunters tracking down an escaped native. Directed by film legend D. W. Griffith.
