Fabled burlesque stripper Margie Hart made her film debut in this World War II South Seas feature that mixes intrigue, comedy, and sexual innuendo.
The FBI suspects that the Pacific island of Tanukai is being used by
Nazis to link up with the Japanese, so two American agents are sent in
to investigate. Posing as shipwreck survivors, the men befriend two
beautiful island girls who can help them figure out who‘s in league with
the enemy. But the girls just want to get married and go to New York. Hula dancing, luaus and Hawaiian music entertain them when they’re not chasing spies. Songs include: “Lure of the Islands” and “Tahiti Sweetie”.
