Written and presented by John Mairai in 1989, this play, relates the eventful, funnier and dramatic life of a tahitian family. A mother full of wisdom, but often surpassed by the events, directs more or less skillfully her house. She lives with her four children and grandchildren. The elder son, father of family, doesn’t stop separating himself of his wife; her younger son, dreamer and extremist, is very attached to the traditional values of his country. But it sees to erect himself against his young sister that felt in love with a forty years old and divorced french navy captain. |
