This 1983 color film by Henri Hiro recreates the traditional ceremony of establishment of a young Polynesian king on the beautiful sacred marae Arahurahu de Paea. More than 200 native actors, dancers, musicians and observers took part in this authentically detailed ceremony. The elaborately costumed and tattooed dancers perform numbers choregraphed by Coco Hotahota. The songs were interpreted by the group Tereia de Penina. (62 minutes)
