Exquisitely detailed, hand carved wooden Maori Tiki statue is completely 3-dimensional. It features intricate carved tattoo designs on the face, arms, legs and back, a black painted Moko face tattoo and inlaid cowrie shell eyes. Teko Teko is a representation of a Maori tribal ancestor. Often seen in and around traditional meeting houses, this figure represents guardianship and protection. Statue measures about 12" tall x 3-3/4" wide x 3-3/4" deep.
